left alone: day 2

actually, this day isn't much different from the other day. but here it goes...

i was driving, 20 minutes away from office when suddenly my phone rang. it was erwin dato, the wierd and funny dude who tries so hard to sound like a malaysian. he asked me to call him once i arrive at the office. it sounded important, judging the way he sounded, so agitated. i decided to step on the pedal to reach office faster. actually, i was running late, it was about 8:40 that time but who cares? as i punched my time card, i headed to the nearest phone which was in MBD and dialled erwin's number. "thank god you called" said erwin. He left a presentation material in his pc and asked me to dictate it for me! hahaha! luckily, it was only a two-slide presentation.

as i entered the production area, a familiar cluster of paper wedged between the door welcomed me. alas!

i didn't start working until marose and lala was there. we are a cohesive unit. we work systematically. we can't start our work until everyone arrives. lala came in first and told me that marose just got up! ok, we couldn't start working until she arrives. she was the one assigned to do the production summary; important data for our KPI tracking.

to kill time, lala knitted a new celphone cover while i read the latest from wwe. we had all the time to slouch around and do nothing accompanied by loud music, a stockpile of snacks and drinks; a haven indeed! tp was also with us, playing pool using my celphone. we had so much fun fooling around we almost forgot that we were there to work. hehehe!

it was past 1030 when marose arrived, it was almost lunch. to hell with work! we decided to take a break early and head straight to lala's casa in ayala alabang but not before marose was finished "practicing" putting on make-up. as i drove to their house, i realized that ayala alabang is a huge village. the distance we travelled from kraft to AAV's gate was almost the same as the distance from AAV's gate to lala's house.

it has a rustic, earthly feel that made me feel very cozy. staggering with paintings done by her lola, antique furnitures and hi-tech appliances, her house is unique in a way. an infusion of old and new.

"pasensya na kayo, mejo magulo ang bahay. cleaning day ngayon eh" said lala

it was cleaning day but her house looked cleaner than most of the houses i have been. hell, it looked cleaner than the cleanest my room had been. haha!

we had lunch ala breakfast. burger steak, fired crab meat, chicken popcorn, lumpiang shanghai, fried rice and kool-aid. while having lunch, we watched "if only". not bad... after lunch, we browsed lala's scrapbook and made fun of her and her old cheer-leading days. hahaha!

tp was busy talking with someone on his celphone. he said it was sir doy, he was looking for him. haha! immediatley, he pleaded to return to kraft. (lagot!)

we arrived kraft before 3pm, 4 hours was a loooong lunch break! after that it was all work. before we know it, it was 5:30 already.

uwian na!!
