United we stand, divided we fall.
Though heard many times, seldom in our lives we actually experience this saying. Today, I had a taste of this bitter experience.
Before, there were 6 of us staying in this tiny cube. (Actually, hindi naman talaga ako kasama sa room, nakikitambay lang ako cuz' malungkot sa cube ko.) One by one, the cadets were asked to transfer to a different office. I dunno, maybe they are just threatened by our closeness, our unity. Syempre naman, pag magkakasama puro backstab kami sa mga boss. Lumalakas lalo yung pagsasamahan namin dun.
In union, there is strength. (sabi nga ni Bab, "sa sibuyas, may tigas!")
Maingay daw kami pag magkakasama. Inggit lang sila kasi kami masaya, nag-eenjoy kahit papaano. Ewan ko nga ba bakit ganito. Nakakaawa nga sila e. Imagine, pag may mga bisita (foreigner na mga panginoon), sila yung pinagmamalaki ng plant namin. It almost came to the point where parang binubugaw na sila. NO, serious! They were even told what to wear, to put on make-up, to ACT pampered. (yup, ACT lang kasi hindi naman ganun yung trato samin dito) SHIT! KALOKOHAN! In reality, CASUAL lang sila at hindi man lang PROBATIONARY. Imagine knowing about their REAL status after 4 months of work. All that time, they thought that they were on proby. If that ain't shitty enough, they were just stripped-off their priveledges like the use of gym facilities, rice rations, etc. Ok lang sana kung ganun lang, pero why did they have to transfer them to different offices? The only thing left for them is the sense of belonging, being a small family here in the recently minimized office. Ok lang kahit bawas ang priveledges mo pero yung paghiwa-hiwalayin kayo ng mga kaibigan nyo, ibang usapan na yun. TP to Engineering, Carlo to QS, Kelly to Production Supervisor's Office.
And then there were two.
Officially, si Jing na lang yung magse-stay dito sa Cadet's Office pero pasaway si Jen (Pinaka-unang nilipat na hanggang ngayon dito parin palagi kasi pinalipat ng siya sa baba, wala naman siyang PC dun) Pero hindi na din yun magtatagal dito. Ibababa na sa CI Office etong gamit kong PC para wala na daw palusot si Jen. Since mawawala na to dito, malamang babalik na ako sa cube ko. I'm just hoping that Erwin would unlock and Log-off this account before leaving! Lagi tuloy ako wala magamit.
